The Ford Mustang is an American sports car (pony car) first introduced to the public in 1964 at the New York World's Fair. Its serial production has been going on for over 50 years! During a very long series production, the model has changed six generations.
The Mustang was designed and launched as a complement to the Thunderbird. From the very beginning, the Mustang was supposed to have a strong and clear style and be aimed mainly at the generation of the so-called baby bombers, i.e. people born around 1945. The presentation of the new model received wide publicity and thoughtful, if not brilliant, marketing staging.
The Mustang has had an extraordinary market success that has made it a cult car.
This is a model kit of the third generation Ford Mustang, derived from the Trans-Am racing version.
Its high-performance Boss 302 V8 engine with a displacement of 4.9 liters produced 290 HP.
